warehouse distribution facility in Prince George County, Virginia:

In response to the Mid-Atlantic region's growing demand for Latin American food,
Goya will deliver products to the Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina
regions that reflect Mexican and Central American cuisine - the Hispanic foods in
highest demand for this market.

Occupying 109,000 square feet in SouthPoint Business Park off of Interstate 295 in
Prince George County, the distribution center currently employs 30 people. Goya
Foods will further contribute to the area's economic development with plans to more
than double its staff - the company employs more than 2,500 people worldwide. Goya
Foods has also purchased land to accommodate the company's growth projections to
expand the facility to 140,000 square feet.

Joseph "Joe" Atkins Leming, MD, chairman of the board of supervisors for Prince
George County, attended the recent opening for the facility, and said he believes
the company's presence will create a positive impact on the economy and on the lives
of local residents. "Prince George County is thrilled to welcome Goya Foods of
Virginia to the Prince George County corporate family," he said. "With their help we
move another step closer to making the vision of the County - to be the best place
to live, learn, work and raise a family - reality.\"

At the facility's recent opening, Goya provided authentic Latin American cuisine for
more than 300 guests, including Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine, Goya Foods
president Robert Unanue, local dignitaries and Goya executives and employees. To

The 40 year-old company has significantly grown from its humble beginnings as a
store selling olives, olive oil and sardines in downtown Manhattan. Founded by two
Spanish immigrants, the Goya Foods has evolved into an international business, but
remains a family-owned enterprise.

Today, Goya manufactures and distributes more than 1,200 different Latin American
food products throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain and the Dominican
Republic, and periodically adds new products.

Goya Foods found its current site in Prince George County with the help of
Virginia\'s Economic Development Partnership (VEDP).
